Argosy pinball rules and strategy
The Strategy
Argosy uses the plunge to open an upper gate, then its lit spinner and rollovers build a 100K base bonus. Complete the four-bank, collect Double Bonus at the right saucer, and preserve the resulting 200K end-of-ball value.
The goal
Plunge through the top to open the gate. Repeat the lit spinner and upper-left bonus rollover until base bonus reaches 100K, then complete the four-bank and collect Double Bonus at the right saucer.
Plunge through the lit top route to open the gate.
Read the spinner lamp after slingshot or other 10-point hits. Repeat it when lit, and use upper-left rollover feeds to build base bonus.
Continue upper play until the displayed base bonus reaches 100K.
Complete the four drop targets once. Do not continue attacking a reset bank after Double Bonus is lit.
Shoot the right saucer to collect Double Bonus.
Return to the lit spinner and upper play. Protect the 200K end-of-ball bonus instead of forcing low-control targets.
Alternative route: Top-play bonus
Use this when the four-bank or right saucer rejects dangerously.
- Keep the upper gate open with controlled top entries.
- Repeat the spinner and collect top lanes.
- Score the spinner and upper-left advance-bonus rollover until base bonus reaches 100K.
- Take Double Bonus only after the saucer feed is known.

- Ten-point switches toggle the spinner between 100 and 1,000 per spin; use it for repeatable points and top access when lit.
