Guardians of the Galaxy pinball rules and strategy
The Strategy
Guardians of the Galaxy lets a completed character mode strengthen its matching shot during Groot Multiball. Before plunging, use the flippers to choose Knowhere and plunge to start it; make eight red shots at either orbit or ramp to complete it. Hit Groot to open his mouth, shoot the mouth for three locks, then use the right orbit for 5x Jackpots during Groot Multiball.
The goal
Use Groot's mouth to start Multiball, collect its 24 Jackpots and three Supers, and relock balls for timed 2x and 3x playfield scoring.
Start Groot Multiball
Hit Groot to open his mouth, then shoot the open mouth to lock a ball. Repeat until the third lock starts the first Groot Multiball.
Collect the Supers
Shoot the flashing Jackpot arrows; each of the eight character shots holds three Jackpots. After Jackpot 9 and Jackpot 18, shoot Groot's open mouth for a Super Jackpot. After all 24 Jackpots, shoot Groot while his mouth repeatedly opens and closes for the Double Super Jackpot.
Use Groot for 2x and 3x
During Groot Multiball, hit Groot to open his mouth and relock one ball for 20 seconds of 2x playfield scoring. Hit Groot until his mouth opens again, then relock a second ball for 20 seconds of 3x.
