TX-Sector pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

TX-Sector uses lit dead ends and targets to raise Energy, while the captive ball selects a Teleport collect. Build to Energy Level 10, take the 9x Teleport when lit, lock one ball, then use two-ball play to rebuild Energy for the next start.

The goal

Build Energy with the safer dead-end and bumper shots, collect the lit 9x teleport, reach Energy Level 10, lock a ball, then use two-ball Multiball to rebuild Energy for the next start.

  1. Use a soft plunge. Learn the upper-left-flipper feed and watch which spinner is lit.

  2. Shoot the lit spinner. When the center spinner is unlit, roll through the right inlane to light it, then shoot it from the left flipper.

  3. Use the spinner return and bumper garden to build Energy. Hit the rear standup when the feed reaches it; use a lit dead end only when its return is controlled.

  4. Hit the left-ramp blocker to start the 9x countdown. Shoot the lit teleport before the count expires.

    • The base award rises with the current Energy Level. The blocker starts a 9x-to-1x countdown that multiplies that award.: The base award rises with the current Energy Level. The blocker starts a 9x-to-1x countdown that multiplies that award.
    • The staged captive ball selects the active teleport. Watch the lit insert before you shoot.: The staged captive ball selects the active teleport. Watch the lit insert before you shoot.
  5. Reach Energy Level 10. Shoot the lit Lock to start two-ball Multiball.

    • Energy advances from 0 to 10. Level 10 lights Lock. The lock starts two-ball play.: Energy advances from 0 to 10. Level 10 lights Lock. The lock starts two-ball play.
  6. During Multiball, continue the safer Energy shots. Energy resets at the start but can rebuild before Multiball ends.

  7. Keep shooting the lit spinners during Multiball. Use rebuilt Energy to shorten the next qualification, and take another 9x teleport only when the blocker and a safe teleport align.

Alternative route: Bumper-garden Energy

Use this when the teleports, drop banks, or left-ramp blocker return the ball dangerously.

  1. Feed the bumper garden and collect Energy from the rear target.
  2. Use the safer lit dead end when the ball returns under control.
  3. At Energy Level 10, start Multiball instead of forcing the 9x countdown.
  4. Rebuild Energy during Multiball and repeat the protection route.
Need to know
Lit spinners
The lit spinner is the reliable scoring route; the right inlane lights the center spinner when it is unlit.
Energy Level
Lit dead ends, drop targets, and the rear target advance the ten-step Energy ladder.
Teleport
The staged captive ball selects the active teleport, which collects the current countdown value.

Machine setup

  • Confirm Energy memory and three-ball or five-ball scoring.
  • Test soft-plunge feed, teleports, blockers, and dead-end returns.
