Rolling Shatz
Launch a moving inlane ball from the flipper tip across the center and up the opposite inlane without first cradling it.
Also called: Rolling alley pass, Running Shatz
How it works
- Leave the receiving flipper down as the ball rolls through the inlane.
- Snap the flipper up when the ball reaches the curved tip.
- Send the ball across the gap and into the opposite inlane.
- Use it when
- A moving inlane feed has the speed and angle for an immediate alley pass.
- Watch for
- The timing window is tiny: early contact shoots sideways, while late contact drains.
- Practice
- Master a cradled Shatz first, then practice on a slower classic machine.
