Apollo 13 pinball rules and strategy
The Strategy
Shoot the Rocket ramp until its LED reaches 1, then shoot it once more for Multiball. Choose Start Mission at the plunge or shoot the lit right saucer for a Mission, and use briefly lit orbits to advance the spacecraft separately.
The goal
Use the plunge to start a Mission, then repeat the Rocket ramp until its LED reads 1 and shoot the Rocket again for Multiball. Take lit orbits after their matching inlane feeds when control allows, because those advances build the separate route toward Splashdown.
Choose Start Mission on the plunge, or shoot the right saucer while its red Start Mission lamp is lit. Follow the display for the current Mission’s physical shots.
Repeat the Rocket ramp and watch its LED. The first Multiball takes three Rocket shots; when the LED reads 1, the next Rocket shot starts it.
During regular Multiball, collect the left-orbit, spinner-lane, right-orbit, and right-saucer Jackpots. Shoot the Blastoff ramp for the Super Jackpot after all four are collected.
Complete M-O-O-N in sequence during controlled one-ball play, then shoot the Blastoff ramp for Shoot the Moon. The same target sequence can light the Super during Multiball.
After a left or right inlane, shoot the briefly lit opposite orbit to advance the spacecraft. Keep taking these controlled transfers toward Video Mode, Power Down, Power Up, and Splashdown.
Shoot the Blastoff ramp when its yellow lamp is lit, or make the exact lit ramp combo, to collect B-L-A-S-T-O-F-F. Once the word is complete, build the next Rocket Multiball to start 13-Ball.
Need to know
- Missions
- Choose Start Mission on the plunge or shoot the right saucer while its red lamp is lit. Nine played Missions qualify Master Alarm at that saucer.
- Regular Multiball
- The first start needs three Rocket-ramp shots; later starts add two shots. The Rocket LED shows the remaining count.
- 13-Ball
- Complete B-L-A-S-T-O-F-F with lit ramp shots, exact ramp combos, or Mystery. The next qualified Rocket Multiball becomes 13-Ball.
