Apollo / Blast Off pinball rules and strategy
The Strategy
In Apollo or Blast Off, hit the ten center rollover buttons until the countdown advances past 1. Then shoot the lit top-center standup to open the right-outlane save gate, increase rollover and target values, and light the lower award lanes. Apollo scores 1,000-point Specials; Blast Off awards extra balls.
The goal
Work the center countdown first, then collect the top-center target as soon as it lights. The gate protects the right outlane and the lit lower lanes become the payoff route. A completed countdown also launches the backbox rocket after the ball leaves the playfield.
Plunge for a center countdown button, then keep upper rebounds moving across uncollected buttons.
Continue the ten-button countdown until it advances past 1 and lights the top-center target.
Shoot the lit top-center standup to open the right-outlane gate and raise rollover and target values.
Use the protected right side and collect a lit lower award lane when its feed is controllable.
If the ball drains after the completed countdown, watch the backbox rocket for the special lane award.
