Attila the Hun pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

Attila the Hun fills a center grid from six A-T-T-I-L-A drops, three H-U-N lanes, and three captive-ball hits. Spread shots among those three groups, prioritize completed 50,000-point columns over 25,000-point rows, and preserve the resulting end-of-ball bonus.

The goal

Build the center grid by spreading shots among the six A-T-T-I-L-A drops, three H-U-N lanes, and captive ball. Prefer a 50,000-point column, then protect the resulting end-of-ball bonus.

  1. Before plunging, read the center grid and choose the H-U-N lane that advances the best column.

  2. Plunge for that needed H-U-N lane.

  3. When the ball reaches a flipper, identify the shortest unfinished 50,000-point column.

  4. Hit only the A-T-T-I-L-A drop target or captive-ball letter needed for that column.

  5. Send a controlled ball back to the top when a missing H-U-N lane is the next column item.

  6. After completing a column, choose the next line with the most already-filled positions.

  7. Complete H-U-N or T-H-E when either set is one shot from a bonus-multiplier advance.

  8. Once the bonus is strong, favor the safe spinner route and protect the end-of-ball value.

Alternative route: Safe spinner survival

Use this plan when the needed drop or captive-ball rebound is not controllable.

  1. Stop shooting the exposed target that returned dangerously.
  2. Use the spinner route to move the ball away from the lower targets.
  3. Read the center grid while the ball is in the upper playfield.
  4. Resume the main plan only after the ball returns to a controlled flipper.

  • Confirm the exact 1984 Game Plan game, ball count, Bonus X, Extra Ball, Special, and replay treatment.
  • Read the center grid and verify that every A-T-T-I-L-A, H-U-N, and T-H-E lamp registers before planning a line.
  • Test the captive-ball and drop-target rebounds, spinner return, upper-playfield exits, and tilt sensitivity before choosing the route.
