Aztec pinball rules and strategy

In Aztec, plunge the center top lane to light the spinner for 1,000 per spin, then keep shooting the spinner and upper-right chute to build Bonus. At 100,000 Bonus, hit Z or T to light Double Bonus at those two feeds. If Extra Ball is enabled, complete A-Z-T or A-E-C, then hit the lit center stand-up.

The goal

Use the center-lane plunge and repeated upper feeds to raise Bonus without challenging the lower stand-ups early. Once Bonus reaches 100,000, hit Z or T and then collect Double Bonus through the spinner lane or upper-right chute. Pursue the remaining letters only when Extra Ball is enabled.

  1. Plunge the center top lane to light the spinner for 1,000 per spin.

  2. Shoot the spinner from the right flipper and the upper-right chute from the left flipper to build Bonus.

  3. Reach the 100,000 base Bonus maximum, then hit the Z or T stand-up to light Double Bonus.

  4. Send the ball through the spinner lane or upper-right chute while lit to activate Double Bonus.

Machine setup

  • Confirm three- or five-ball play, Extra Ball and Special conversion, the conservative, medium, or liberal letter requirement, and whether the 100,000 Bonus threshold is operating correctly.
  • Test all five A-Z-T-E-C switches, center top lane, spinner and lamp, upper-right chute and kickout, Double Bonus lamps, center Extra Ball target, Bonus unit, and upper rollover disk.
