Big Shot / Hot Shot / Pro Pool pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

Shoot the top-center 8-ball lane or saucer early to open the lower-right return gate. Pick off the fourteen numbered side standups to collect all fifteen pool balls and light Special. Each collected ball adds 1,000 bonus, so after the set is complete, send the ball back to the top for safer lane and bumper points.

The goal

Prioritize the 8-ball because it opens the return gate and is harder to collect once the ball stays low. Graze the outer edges of the side targets from controlled flippers; after all fifteen are collected, stop taking square target rebounds and play to the top.

  1. Shoot the top-center 8-ball lane or saucer to open the lower-right return gate.

  2. Pick off the numbered side standups with grazing shots from the opposite flipper.

  3. Collect all fifteen pool balls to light Special; each collected ball also adds 1,000 bonus.

  4. After the set is complete, shoot back to the top for safer 8-ball, lane, and bumper scoring.
