Big Top pinball rules and strategy
Strategy summary
The goal
ADD 800 increases each scoring event by 800 points while its light is on. The top High Score rollover activates it; the Change Score button below the central ring switches it off. The far-right Free Ball channel returns the ball for another launch.
Starting play: Press Reset to clear the score, then Ball Lift to place the ball in front of the shooter. Pull and release the shooter to launch it to the top of the playfield.
ADD 800: Roll over the top-center High Score button to score 800 and light ADD 800. While that light stays on, every scoring event gains 800 points: a normal 100-point score becomes 900.
Change Score: The round rollover below the central Action Ring switches ADD 800 off. Once its light goes out, scoring returns to the printed values. The top High Score rollover can light ADD 800 again.
Spinner: Send the ball through the upper-right spinner toward the top of the playfield. Each full turn scores 100, increased to 900 while ADD 800 is lit.
Action Ring: Either of the two top lanes into the central ring scores 300. Inside the ring, each hit on the single pop bumper scores 100. ADD 800 increases each of these scoring events while lit.
Lower lanes: The two inner lanes score 200 and return the ball toward the flippers. The two outer lanes score 300 and lose the ball. These are separate from the Free Ball channel at the far right.
Free Ball channel: A ball entering the far-right channel returns to the shooter for another launch without using up one of the game's three balls. This return continues the current ball.

- This is Wico's single-player home game. A game has three balls, played one at a time. The left and right flipper buttons control their flippers separately.
- Targets
- Before ADD 800, the upper-left High Score target scores 700 and each of the two midfield targets scores 500. Lit ADD 800 increases these scores by 800 too.
