Bronco / Mustang pinball rules and strategy
The Strategy
In Bronco or Mustang, knock down the three center drops to light Spot arrows, then shoot the top saucer on the side carrying those arrows. Each lit arrow adds 3,000 and one bonus step. Use natural top and return-lane feeds to complete A-B-C for 2x end-of-ball bonus.
The goal
Drop the three center targets, then repeat the saucer with the lit Spot arrows.
Plunge the A lane. It is the only safe chance to collect A before an outlane.
Hit the three center drop targets. Each target lights one Spot arrow and adds bonus.
Watch which side has the lit Spot arrows. Shoot that top saucer.
- Lit saucer: Scores 3,000 and adds one bonus step for each lit Spot arrow.
Move the cabinet briefly so the playfield shifts under the ball, changing its speed or path after contact with a post, rubber, or wall. a loose ball into a side chute when the opening is available. The chute feeds its saucer.
On the five-ball or conservative setup, the 10-point middle pop bumper moves the lit Spot side. On the three-ball setup, both sides may stay lit.
Complete A-B-C through natural top and return-lane feeds for 2x end-of-ball bonus.
Alternative route: Saucer scoring
Use this plan when the center drop-target rebounds are unsafe.
- Shoot the safer top saucer even when its Spot arrows are off.
- Take the base 3,000 award.
- Use natural A-B-C lanes and protect the end-of-ball bonus.
