Champ pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

In Champ, plunge the top saucer to light both captive-ball lanes and bumpers. Try one square captive-ball shot: if its rebound returns safely, repeat it for up to 4,000. If it rejects dangerously, send the ball through the spinner and back to the 3,000-point top saucer instead.

The goal

Light both captive lanes from the top saucer or their adjacent mushroom bumpers. Compare a captive-ball rebound with the spinner-to-saucer feed, then repeat the safer profitable route. Bonus progress can light Extra Ball or Special targets.

  1. Plunge the center top saucer to light both captive-ball lanes and their bumpers.

  2. If the saucer misses, send the ball up top or hit each mushroom bumper to light its adjacent lane.

  3. Make one square shot at a lit captive ball and watch both its award and rebound.

  4. Repeat captive-ball shots when they return safely and regularly score near 4,000.

  5. If captive-ball rebounds are dangerous, shoot through the spinner and return to the 3,000-point top saucer.

  • Test the top saucer, spinner feed, both captive balls and travel switches, both mushroom bumpers and lane lamps, Bonus unit, award targets, and every captive-ball rebound.
