Cue Ball Wizard pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

Shoot the lit ramp for the flashing Wheel round. For two-ball Multiball, clear the flashing solids or stripes, sink the 8-ball in the Side Pocket, then shoot the lit ramp.

The goal

Use the lit ramp to start Wheel rounds, but build two-ball Multiball by clearing the flashing solids or stripes and sinking the 8-ball. When Side Pocket is the flashing Wheel award, start it and Multiball together, then use the cue ball to collect all three colored Jackpots.

  1. When the ramp's red lamps flash, shoot it to start the Wheel round shown above the flippers. If the ramp is dark, shoot the Corner Pocket to relight it.

  2. For two-ball Multiball, clear whichever bank of solids or stripes is flashing, then hit the cue ball into the Side Pocket to light the ramp.

  3. Wait for Side Pocket to be the flashing Wheel round when practical, then shoot the lit ramp to start the round and two-ball Multiball together.

  4. During two-ball Multiball, use the cue ball to hit each of the three colored target groups for its Jackpot. Hit the drop targets between Jackpots to raise the remaining values.

  5. After all three colored Jackpots are collected, shoot the ramp for the Super Jackpot. The sequence resets and can be repeated until one ball drains.

  6. Continue completing the five different Wheel rounds. When Pool Ball Mania is lit, wait until two-ball Multiball has ended before starting it if you want the third ball to be served.

Need to know
Wagon Wheel
The ramp starts the currently flashing round when lit. If it is dark, the Corner Pocket relights it.
Two-ball Multiball
Clear the flashing solids or stripes, sink the 8-ball in the Side Pocket, then shoot the lit ramp.
Multiball Jackpots
Knock the cue ball into each of the three colored target groups. After all three Jackpots, shoot the ramp for the Super Jackpot.

Machine setup

  • Cue-ball hardware: Some machines have the physical cue ball removed. On those copies, the No Way target and two white Side Pocket targets replace the normal Jackpot contacts.
  • Difficulty: Hard settings lower some feature values. The shot order remains useful, but do not expect every printed value to match.
