Dr. Dude And His Excellent Ray pinball rules and strategy

Collect Magnetic Personality, Gift of Gab, and Heart of Rock 'n Roll with three direct hits apiece, or spot them through their Mix Master target banks. Then shoot the ramp, hit a Mix Master target, and shoot the lit left saucer for two-ball Multiball. Finish the displayed target countdown and return to the ramp for the Jackpot.

The goal

Collect the three Elements, shoot the ramp into the Mix Master, and hit one of its targets to light Lock. Shoot the left saucer for two-ball Multiball, finish the displayed Mix Master target countdown, then shoot the ramp for the Jackpot.

  1. Hit Magnetic Personality, Gift of Gab, and Heart of Rock 'n Roll three times each, or use the corresponding Mix Master target banks to spot progress.

  2. After all three Elements are collected, shoot the ramp into the Mix Master and hit at least one target to light Lock.

  3. Shoot the lit left saucer to start two-ball Multiball.

  4. During Multiball, hit Mix Master targets until the displayed countdown reaches zero, then shoot the ramp for the Jackpot.

  5. Complete the four right drop targets before the Jackpot to double its current value.

Need to know
Collect an Element
Hit its feature shot three times, or spot it through the matching Mix Master target bank.
Light Lock
After all three Elements, shoot the ramp and hit at least one Mix Master target.
Start Multiball
Shoot the lit left saucer.

Machine setup

  • Read the displayed Mix Master countdown at the start of Multiball; its target requirement is adjustable.
  • Test all three Element shots, the Mix Master motor and targets, ramp, left saucer, right drop bank, and ball lock before competitive play.
