Eight Ball Champ pinball rules and strategy

Repeat the left orbit into the upper-right saucer to build the rollover value and Bonus X. Use lane change to complete unlit C-H-A-M-P lanes; the first set starts 2x playfield scoring and the second starts 3x. Keep shooting the orbit and saucer once both multipliers are ready.

The goal

Repeat the left orbit into the upper-right saucer to reach 5x Bonus and complete C-H-A-M-P twice for 3x playfield scoring. Score unlit lane lamps, not lit ones, and keep using the orbit route unless the machine has been modified.

  1. Shoot the left orbit and let it travel across the top to the upper-right saucer; repeat it to raise the orbit value and Bonus X toward 5x.

  2. Use lane change to steer top feeds through unlit H-A-M lanes and return-lane feeds through unlit C or P.

  3. Complete C-H-A-M-P once for 2x playfield scoring and a second time for 3x, then repeat the orbit and saucer for the combined value.

  4. Use the upper-right flipper for additional saucer attempts instead of abandoning a controlled upper-playfield feed.

Machine setup

  • Check whether lane change, orbit value increments, the left-orbit route, Extra Ball, and Special have been disabled or converted for competition.
  • Test both orbits, the top saucer and upper-right flipper, H-A-M and C/P lane switches and lamps, all pool-ball drops and E-I-G-H-T standups, spinner, and side drains.
