Flipper Fair pinball rules and strategy
The Strategy
Flipper Fair uses top lanes 1 through 4 to light matching bumpers and side lanes, while green and yellow bumper hits move two lamp tracks. Keep feeding the top, watch both positions, and hit the center target only when the green and yellow lamps match.
The goal
Plunge a missing 1-through-4 lane and keep feeding the top. Track the green and yellow lamp positions as their bumpers advance them, then shoot the center target only when the two positions match for an added ball.
Read which of the four top lanes is still uncollected.
Plunge for one missing 1-through-4 lane.
From either flipper, choose the broadest route back to the upper playfield.
Use lit bumpers and upper side lanes for points while watching green and yellow advances.
Compare the two lamp positions after every green or yellow bumper hit.
When the green and yellow positions match, settle the ball before shooting the center target.
Collect the matched center target for an added ball, then resume upper-playfield feeds.
Complete any remaining 1-through-4 lanes for the second added-ball route.
Alternative route: Upper-playfield survival
Use this plan when the center target is unmatched or its rebound cannot be controlled.
- Ignore the center target while its green and yellow positions differ.
- Send the ball to the top through the safer outside or center opening on this copy.
- Let bumper action advance the two color tracks.
- Collect missing 1-through-4 lanes and lit upper side lanes naturally.
- Return to the center target only after the lamps match and a controlled shot is available.
Need to know
- Top 1-2-3-4 lanes
- Each color-and-number lane lights its corresponding bumper and upper side lane; completing all four awards an added ball.
- Green track
- Hits on green bumpers advance the green lamp below the center target one position at a time.
- Yellow track
- Hits on yellow bumpers advance the yellow lamp below the center target one position at a time.

Resume upper play after each collect instead of forcing the center target early.
