Gaucho pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

In Gaucho, the left top lane raises the left roto-target multiplier and the right top lane raises the right one. Keep sending the ball to the upper playfield until one side reaches 100x, wait for that roto window to show 3 or more, then shoot the aligned target and begin the multiplier cycle again.

The goal

Send the ball up top to build a roto-target multiplier. Shoot the roto-target only at 100X with a useful visible value.

  1. Plunge a top lane that advances either roto-target multiplier.

  2. Send controlled flipper shots through the narrow routes to the upper playfield.

  3. Move the cabinet briefly so the playfield shifts under the ball, changing its speed or path after contact with a post, rubber, or wall. upper bumper action toward another multiplier-advance lane.

  4. Read both multipliers and both visible roto-target values after every spin.

  5. Continue upper play while neither multiplier is at 100X.

  6. At 100X, wait for either window to show 3 or more.

  7. Shoot the aligned roto-target only when its rebound is survivable.

  8. After the multiplier resets, return immediately to upper-playfield building.

Alternative route: Upper-playfield scoring

Use this plan when direct roto-target rebounds do not reach a flipper safely.

  1. Stop direct roto-target shots.
  2. Send the ball through the safer upper route.
  3. Use bumper action to collect advance lanes and lit-bumper points.
  4. Read the roto values without forcing a collect.
  5. Repeat upper play while its exits remain safer than the center rebound.
Need to know
Top advance lanes
The upper lanes advance the purple left multiplier or the yellow right multiplier.
Roto-target award
A roto-target hit scores the visible value at the active multiplier and then resets that multiplier.
Preferred collect
A 100X multiplier with a visible value of 3 or more creates the preferred roto-target collect.
