Gizmo pinball rules and strategy

Strategy summary

The goal

Build the displayed bonus, then collect it in the Gizmo holes or the two bottom holes. Completing numbers 1–7 earns a replay and lights side-channel and bottom-hole Specials; higher bonus levels activate further awards.

  1. Complete numbers 1–7: Hit numbered bumpers 1, 2, 3, 6 and 7, and roll through side channels 4 and 5. Making all seven earns one replay and lights both side channels; either lit channel then awards one replay.

  2. Advance the bonus: Roll over the Advance Bonus button between the two bottom holes. The upper round bonus target also advances bonus and scores 5,000 while unlit; the center hole between the two lower unnumbered bumpers advances bonus while unlit and scores 50,000.

  3. Collect at the Gizmo holes: Roll through the upper center channel to score 50,000 and light the two large Gizmo holes below it. Shoot either lit Gizmo hole to collect the displayed bonus; an unlit Gizmo hole scores 5,000.

  4. Collect at the bottom holes: Shoot either of the two bottom holes to collect the displayed bonus while unlit. Completing numbers 1–7 lights one of these holes for the Special award instead; shoot the lit hole for 1–10 replays, following the numbered bonus lamps.

  5. Use the higher bonus levels: Advance bonus to 80,000 to light the upper center channel for one replay. At 90,000, the upper round bonus target lights for 50,000 instead of advancing bonus. At 100,000, the 5,000-point bumpers score double.

  6. Keep a maximum bonus for the next game: Finish the game with the bonus at 100,000 to retain that bonus for the next game.
