Gold Ball pinball rules and strategy
The Strategy
Check the installed ROM first. Stock software serves the gold-colored ball randomly; it triples playfield scoring. Service Kit or Version 12 software makes you complete G-O-L-D-B-A-L-L, then serves the next ball as a gold Extra Ball. Use right-flipper lane change for P-L-A-Y, and complete 1-2-3 for 2x, 3x, then its higher award.
The goal
Identify stock versus skill-earned software before choosing a route. On stock code, build P-L-A-Y, 1-2-3, and letter value until the random gold ball arrives. On skill code, prioritize each lit G-O-L-D-B-A-L-L spot because completing the word guarantees the gold Extra Ball.
Before play, identify whether the machine uses stock percentage software or skill-earned Service Kit or Version 12 software.
On skill software, hit the currently lit G-O-L-D-B-A-L-L spotting switches until the word is complete; the next served ball is the gold Extra Ball.
While the gold ball is in play, favor controlled repeatable shots because all playfield scores are tripled.
If the upper-right Gold Ball Special rollover flashes, take it before the switch-configured opportunity expires.
