Granada pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

Granada uses upper bumper action to complete either G-R-A-N-A-D-A letters or numbered targets 1 through 10. Feed the upper playfield, follow bumper action toward the nearer set, then collect its lit 5,000-point saucer or use a safe return-lane Shatz pass when upper action is weak.

The goal

Use upper bumper action to complete GRANADA or numbers 1 through 10, switching to safe 5,000-point Shatz passes when the bumpers are weak.

  1. Confirm whether extra balls score or remain playable in the event.

  2. Send the ball to the upper bumpers through the safest open route.

  3. Move the cabinet briefly so the playfield shifts under the ball, changing its speed or path after contact with a post, rubber, or wall. bumper action toward missing GRANADA lanes and numbered standups.

  4. Track which of the two feature sets is nearer completion.

  5. Complete that set and confirm its matching 5,000-point saucer lights.

  6. If extra balls count, shoot the matching center Special target.

  7. If extra balls do not count, continue upper scoring without forcing the center target.

  8. Shoot a moving inlane ball up the opposite inlane, carrying it behind the slingshot toward the upper playfield. through a safe return lane for 5,000 when upper action is weak.

Alternative route: Return-lane repeat

Use this plan when weak bumpers make letter and number progress too slow.

  1. Test one Shoot a moving inlane ball up the opposite inlane, carrying it behind the slingshot toward the upper playfield. through a 5,000-point return lane.
  2. Track the complete lane exit.
  3. Repeat from the opposite flipper only when the exit reaches control.
  4. Stop after any sling, outlane, or center-drain feed.
  5. Return to upper play when a clean opportunity appears.
