Grand Tour / Happy Tour pinball rules and strategy

Strategy summary

The goal

Use the Tour Gate to earn an extra ball and advance the city display. The Free Ball Gate can rescue an outlane ball when open.

  1. Tour Gate: Roll through the upper center lane marked Opens Tour Gate. Send the ball into the open Tour Gate on the right side to receive an extra ball, score 100 points and light the next city.

  2. Free Ball Gate: When all four yellow lights in the row below the bumpers are out, the right lower Free Ball Gate opens. A ball entering that outlane through the open gate becomes an extra ball.

  3. Kick-back lane: Send the ball up the outer left return lane to the area above the top rollovers. Its kick-back gate is always open, and the return scores 50 points.
