Hang Glider pinball rules and strategy

In Hang Glider, use the left spinner or right orbit to keep the ball up top and build Bonus to 15,000. Shoot the right orbit while lit to double it. Complete all five targets to light the left spinner for 1,000 per spin. The center saucer scores and advances Bonus for each target already hit, but a miss there can drain.

The goal

Use the safer upper feed until the 15,000 Bonus is doubled. Then complete targets from controlled feeds. Once all five are down, repeat the lit left spinner because its 1,000-per-spin value overtakes the other shots. Treat the center saucer as a later high-value collect.

  1. Shoot through the left spinner or right orbit to keep the ball in the upper playfield and build Bonus.

  2. When the right orbit is lit, send the ball through it to activate Double Bonus.

  3. Build the base Bonus to its 15,000 maximum before challenging the target bank.

  4. Complete all five targets to light the left spinner for 1,000 per spin.

  5. Repeat the lit spinner whenever its return feed remains controlled.

Machine setup

  • Confirm three- or five-ball play, the mystery timing for the right Double Bonus lane, Extra Ball and Special conversion, and whether later target-bank completions light Special at the saucer or outlanes.
  • Test all ten mini-rollovers, five targets and reset, center saucer and kickout, left spinner and lamp, right orbit and Double Bonus lamp, both return lanes, Bonus unit, and three pop bumpers.
