Heist pinball rules and strategy
The Strategy
Hit a crew member's major shot twice to start that job. Prepare Crane or Police Multiball first, start the crew job, then add the Multiball; failed specialists can be recovered at the center jail.
The goal
Choose a safe crew shot and hit it twice to start the job. Add a prepared Crane or Police Multiball, finish the task, and collect its MacGuffin at the raised scoop. Rescue jailed specialists and complete the Mastermind before entering the Big Final Heist.
Choose the crew shot with the safest return and hit it twice to start its job: left orbit, left ramp, right horseshoe, right ramp, or right orbit.
Before the second crew hit, prepare Crane Multiball through cash and the right ramp, or prepare Police Multiball through the blue targets and horseshoe locks.
Start the crew job first, then collect the prepared Multiball. Use the extra balls to finish the timed task without abandoning its required shots.
When the crew task is complete, shoot the raised scoop for its MacGuffin. A full completion recruits the specialist; a failure sends that specialist to jail.
For a rescue, hit the center jail to open it and shoot the scoop. Jailbreak serves the ball in play plus one ball for each jailed specialist.
After at least two recruits, use the left horseshoe for the Mastermind. Recruit more crew first when the larger jewel route remains practical.
Alternative route: Side Job route
Use this when a direct crew-start shot is rejecting but the side targets and crane are safer.
- Complete the side targets, hit the crane when it moves into reach, then shoot the opened OCPD building to start the Side Job.
- Complete the short Side Job to qualify its linked crew member without the first direct crew hit.
- Return to that crew shot to start the job, then add a prepared Multiball when available.
Need to know
- Crew jobs
- Wheelman is the left orbit, Cat Burglar the left ramp, Safecracker the right horseshoe, Hacker the right ramp, and Demolition the right orbit; hit one twice to start.
- Jailbreak
- Hit the center jail to open it, then shoot the scoop to start one extra ball for every specialist currently jailed.
- Police Multiball
- Hit the blue police targets to light the two horseshoe locks, collect three locks, then shoot the lit jackpot pairs and jail advances.
Crew jobs, Side Jobs, jail rescues, Crane Multiball, and Police Multiball feed the larger Heists. Start a crew job before adding a prepared Multiball, collect its MacGuffin, and recover jailed specialists so the Mastermind and Big Final Heist remain available.
