Ice-Revue / Ice Show pinball rules and strategy
The Strategy
Ice-Revue uses five top lanes to light matching bumpers and standup-target pairs to raise both center saucers. Plunge an unlit lane, complete controlled target pairs until the saucers reach 200, and use each saucer as both a scoring shot and a transfer to the opposite flipper.
The goal
Plunge unlit top lanes to raise bumper value, complete safe standup pairs to build both center saucers to 200, then use controlled saucer entries as scoring shots and cross-playfield transfers.
Before each plunge, identify a top lane whose corresponding bumper is not lit.
Plunge through that top lane when the lane is reachable.
From either flipper, send controlled shots toward the top lanes.
Guide upper play toward an uncollected lane instead of a lit lane.
Shoot a numbered standup target only from a controlled ball.
Complete target pairs to raise the center saucers to 200.
Shoot a 200-point center saucer when its entry is controlled.
Release a raised flipper at contact so the ball loses speed and gently rolls up the flipper, often giving you a chance to cradle it. or Leave a flipper down and let the ball rebound from it toward the opposite flipper, reducing the ball’s momentum without a flip. the saucer eject on the opposite flipper.
Return to the top lanes after the saucer collect.
Alternative route: Recovery: Saucer transfer
Recovery pivot: Use this plan when upward shots return through dangerous bumpers or outlane dividers.
- Choose the center saucer that is reachable from the controlled flipper.
- Shoot only when the ball can enter the saucer cleanly.
- Track the eject toward the opposite flipper.
- Control the ball, then choose another saucer or a safer upward shot.
Need to know
- Top lanes
- Each of the five top lanes lights its corresponding bumper for 10 points instead of 1 point.
- Standup targets
- Each numbered standup target lights its corresponding outlane for 50 points instead of 5 points.
- Target pairs
- Completed standup-target pairs raise both center saucers from 50 to 100 and then 200 points.
Ice-Revue uses five top lanes to light matching bumpers and standup-target pairs to raise both center saucers. Collect different lanes to light the bumpers, complete controlled pairs until the saucers reach 200, then use the saucers for points and cross-playfield transfers. Account for the installed lower-playfield layout before trusting an outlane return.
