Jockey Club pinball rules and strategy

Strategy summary

The goal

Hit numbered bumpers in order to light replay targets, or collect horse-hole patterns for replays. The lower A and B rollovers raise the numbered bumpers to 100,000 points.

  1. Light the targets: Hit numbered bumpers 1 through 7 in order to light standup targets for Special. Hit a target while its Special light is on to collect one replay; watch the lights because the lit targets change.

  2. Raise bumper scoring: Hit both A and B rollovers between the flippers to make the numbered bumpers score 100,000 points each.

  3. Collect the field: Put one ball into each of the five horse holes to earn one replay. These holes keep the ball, so each collection ends that ball’s play.

  4. Back one horse: Put three balls into the same horse hole for one replay, four for three replays, or five for eight replays. The horse’s column on the playfield tracks its progress.
