King of Diamonds pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

In King of Diamonds, plunge a lit 6 or 9 lane for 50 and a chance to reach K or Q. Go up top while the center roto-target shows cards you already have; shoot it when one of its three exposed cards fills a gap. Completing 2 through 9 lights a guide rollover for Special; completing 2 through Ace awards Special.

The goal

Use top lanes and K-Q targets for safer scoring, then pick off a needed card from the center roto-target. Avoid forcing the exposed Jack and 10 standups above the return lanes. Completing the full hand opens another set of 13 card Bonus values.

  1. Plunge a lit 6 or 9 top lane for 50 and a possible feed into K or Q.

  2. Read the three exposed cards on the center roto-target before choosing a shot.

  3. Shoot the roto-target when an exposed card is missing from your hand.

  4. If all three exposed cards are already collected, send the ball up top to rotate the target and pursue K or Q.

  5. When only a few cards remain, choose the lane or exposed target that completes 2 through 9 or the full 2-through-Ace hand.
