Knock Out pinball rules and strategy

Strategy summary

The goal

Complete the five numbered bumpers to score a knockdown. Side rollovers increase the value of the two kickout holes; lit Special rollovers award replays.

  1. Score a knockdown: Hit bumpers 1–5 in any order to put their lights out and register one knockdown. The left target spots 1–3; the right target spots 3–5. The center target scores a knockdown directly.

  2. Build the hole value: Pass through the side rollovers to raise the kickout-hole award from 50,000 to 200,000 and then 500,000. Send the ball into either lower corner hole to collect the lit value.

  3. Collect Special: Pass through a side rollover while Special is lit to collect one replay.

  4. Use the lit center rollover: The safety gate rises as a launched ball passes the top of the shooter lane. Once the gate drops, the center rollover lights for a knockdown; roll over it while lit to score one.
