Legends of Valhalla pinball rules and strategy
The Strategy
Legends of Valhalla uses weapons to unlock Legend battles and eight tasks to qualify Valhalla. Shoot the left ramp to light a weapon shot, then shoot that lit shot to collect a weapon. For War at Sea, hit the three purple side targets to light the ship locks, then lock three balls in the Viking ship.
The goal
Collect a weapon to play a Legend battle, and light and lock three balls in the Viking ship to start War at Sea.
Collect a weapon
Shoot the left ramp to light a random weapon shot, then shoot that lit shot. One weapon unlocks the first tier of Legend battles.
Start a Legend battle
With Battle Auto-Start disabled, shoot the lit scoop or shooter lane to enter battle selection. Use the flippers to choose and confirm an available battle.
Start War at Sea
Hit all three purple side targets to light the Viking ship locks. Shoot the right orbit while holding the left flipper to feed the ship, and lock three balls there; the third lock starts War at Sea.

- Route setting
- This selectable battle route requires Battle Auto-Start disabled, the factory default. When it is enabled, qualified battles are selected randomly.
- Battle selection
- Shoot the lit scoop or shooter lane to enter battle selection, then use the flippers to choose and confirm a battle.
- Weapons
- Shoot the left ramp to light a random weapon shot, then shoot that lit shot to collect the weapon.

The goal
Build five combos for a Valkyrie and hit the three purple side targets to light the Viking ship.Spend the Valkyrie on Dearg Due to trigger Draugar, then lock three balls during Draugar to start War at Sea.
- Shoot the left ramp to light a random weapon shot, then shoot that lit shot to collect the weapon needed for a tier-one Legend battle.
- Make five combos to earn a Valkyrie, and hit all three purple side targets to light the Viking ship locks.
- If Thor's Hammer and the Valkyrie are both ready, choose a multiball Legend battle first and press the action button to spend the Hammer. Return to Dearg Due only when the Valkyrie will fire first.
- Choose Dearg Due and press the action button to spend the Valkyrie. Defeating Dearg Due this way awards a bonus battle and starts Draugar.
- During Draugar, shoot the right orbit while holding the left flipper to feed the Viking ship. When the ship is purple, lock three balls there; the third lock starts War at Sea.
- Continue collecting the eight Valhalla tasks in parallel. After four Legend battles have been played, shoot the lit scoop for Extra Ball or its tournament-converted award.
Builds toward: Valhalla
- Collect 10 weapons by shooting the left ramp to light a random weapon shot, then shooting that lit shot. Collect weapons during battles when possible.
- Collect 10 raiders through R-A-I-D lane completions, switch hits, spinner progress, and Mystery awards while working on the other tasks.
- Make 10 combos, and hit all three War on Land stand-ups during single-ball play to start War on Land.
- On a fresh ball, plunge directly into the Viking ship for the Super Skill Shot and God of Thunder. Current v25.08.27 also qualifies it with one completed set of top rollovers.
- Complete Conquest's eight qualities. Take right-ramp, Berzerker, and under-ship progress first, then use Multiball for the remaining shot families.
