Mario Andretti pinball rules and strategy
The Strategy
Advance the 17-position track with lit yellow Mario shots, spinning cars, slingshots, and pops. Protect first place with green Pass shots, refill at the right hole when Pit In is lit, and win three races to start World Championship.
The goal
Plunge the middle captive-ball switch for Lock Ball when available, then advance the race with lit yellow shots and the spinning cars. Use green Pass shots to stay in first, shoot the right hole when Pit In is lit, and choose the right-side Multiball award after a race.
Plunge the captive ball to the middle switch for Lock Ball when that award is available. The lower switch gives Jackpot and the upper switch gives Race Strategy.
Advance the 17-position race track with lit yellow Mario shots, the spinning cars, slingshots, or pop bumpers. Complete one lap for the first race and two for later races.
Shoot green Pass shots to improve or protect first place, and avoid red Yield shots when control allows. Finishing in first earns a Victory Circle.
Watch the fuel display. When Pit In is lit or the car can no longer advance, shoot the right hole for three gallons and return to the track.
After a completed race, use the matching flipper to choose between the displayed Checkered Flag awards. Choose the first right-side award when you want regular Multiball; the two award ladders advance independently.
During regular Multiball, clear the left and right Hairpin sides and the right loop, then follow the expanded lit set. After five Jackpots, shoot the left ramp for the Super Jackpot.
