Olympic Hockey pinball rules and strategy
The Strategy
Olympic Hockey advances a puck through the gaps outside the bumper group until a goal lights the center bumper for 1,000. Plunge A and B to light the colored bumpers and open the right-outlane gate, score a goal through upper play, then skim the lit center bumper repeatedly before a side lane starts the next sequence.
The goal
Send the ball around the outside of the bumper group until you score a goal. Then skim the lit center bumper repeatedly before a side lane resets it.
Plunge the top A or B lane and note which pair of colored bumpers lights.
If the ball returns up top, collect the other letter to open the right-outlane gate.
Shoot through the gap outside either outer bumper instead of driving into the center of the bumper group.
Use upper play to advance the puck until the game awards a goal.
Confirm that the center bumper is lit for 1,000.
Shoot the edge of the center bumper so the ball continues into upper play.
Repeat center-bumper edge hits while the 1,000 light remains on.
If a Start At Center Ice side lane turns the light off, rebuild the next goal through the outside gaps.
Alternative route: Outside-gap upper play
Use this plan when direct center-bumper shots rebound toward the drain or the center bumper is not lit.
- Stop direct shots at the center bumper.
- Choose the outside gap that gives the safer upper-playfield return.
- Send the ball through that gap to collect puck advances and incidental upper-standup hits.
- Use the same route until a goal lights the center bumper.
- Return to edge shots only after the center bumper is lit.
Need to know
- A-B skill shot
- A lights the two yellow bumpers, B lights the two red bumpers, and collecting both opens the right-outlane gate.
- Goal progress
- The A and B lanes give three puck advances, while bumpers, center rollovers, and side lanes also advance the puck.
- Center bumper
- A goal lights the center bumper for 1,000 until a Start At Center Ice side lane begins the next goal sequence.
Olympic Hockey advances a puck through the gaps outside the bumper group until a goal lights the center bumper for 1,000. Collect both top letters when possible, keep the ball outside the bumper group until a goal scores, then graze the lit center bumper so the ball returns upstairs. A Start At Center Ice side lane ends that collect and begins the next goal cycle.
