Palooka pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

In Palooka, knock down all four red targets to light the center target for an extra ball, then shoot the center target. When ADVANCE is lit, the top rollover raises the center target's value. Watch the top-lane value cycle from 100 to 500 as the upper bumpers and slings are hit, and plunge for 500 when possible.

The goal

The safest plan is repeated bank completion followed by the center collect. The top rollover can add a ball on ball one when lit and advances the center-target value while ADVANCE is lit. Side-saucer kickouts can return unpredictably.

  1. Read the top-lane value before plunging and use a repeatable plunger mark to reach it at 500 when possible.

  2. Shoot the four red drop targets until the center target lights for an extra ball.

  3. Shoot the lit center target to collect the extra ball.

  4. When the ADVANCE lamp is on, send the ball through the top rollover to increase the center-target value.

  5. Treat either side saucer as a feed toward the lower targets, but keep both flippers ready for an unsafe kickout.
