Race Time pinball rules and strategy

Strategy summary

The goal

Use the colored pop bumpers to advance their matching spots. Align three spots to light higher hole and rollover scores.

  1. Light a colored bumper: Hit the top-center target to light the yellow pop bumper, the middle-left target for red, or the middle-right target for purple. Each target scores 10 points; the matching pop bumper scores 10 points while lit.

  2. Advance the spots: Hit the red, yellow or purple pop bumper to advance the matching colored spots in the lower-center display. Align three spots to light the holes and side rollovers for higher scores.

  3. Collect a hole value: The three center gobble holes correspond to the red, yellow and purple spot columns, marked 100, 200 and 300 points. A hole scores double its indicated value while lit. Entering a gobble hole consumes the ball and ends that ball.

  4. Collect a lit rollover: Pass through an upper or lower side rollover for 100 points while its lamp is lit. An unlit side rollover scores 10 points.

Hole collection
A gobble-hole collect does not return the ball. Check its indicated spot value and Double Value When Lit lamp before treating it as a scoring opportunity.
