Rack 'Em Up pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

Before the first scored switch, use the right flipper to align a flashing number with a reachable lane or target. Hit flashing numbered features to fill all fifteen balls; use the spinner or top-left corner pocket to move the selection later. Clear drop banks for 3x, 5x, and 10x Bonus, and finish the rack to light lower-left outlane Special.

The goal

Use the opening lane-change window instead of accepting a poor flashing pair, then work the safest lit number rather than an unlit target. Take bank completions early for Bonus X and treat the outlane Special as a secondary collect, not a reason to give up control.

  1. At ball start, use the right flipper button to rotate the flashing solid-and-stripe pair toward the safest reachable feature.

  2. Hit the flashing target or lane to add its numbered ball to the rack; a lit number scores more than an unlit one.

  3. After the opening selection is fixed, shoot the spinner or top-left corner pocket to move the flashing numbers again.

  4. Complete the upper-left or lower-right drop bank to advance Bonus X through 3x, 5x, and 10x.

Machine setup

  • Test right-flipper lane change before the first score, the four paired top lanes, numbered targets and lower lanes, spinner, top-left corner pocket, both drop banks, lower-right award target, and lower-left Special outlane.
  • Check the installed memory difficulty: Normal preserves center lamps, target and rollover lamps, and an uncollected Special between balls; Hardest clears all of that progress.
