Royal Flush Deluxe pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

Royal Flush Deluxe scores 30,000 repeatedly at the far-left white lane, while the riskier nine-card drop bank builds end-of-ball card bonus. Repeat the white lane from the right flipper, use its upper return for useful Joker lanes, and take card drops only when their rebounds are controlled.

The goal

Use the right flipper to repeat the far-left white lane for 30,000 and upper-playfield access. Complete useful drops when they are presented, but never shoot the center 3,000 pad as a primary objective.

  1. Plunge toward a needed upper-left Joker lane when the feed can be marked.

  2. Let a controlled left-flipper ball cross to the right flipper when the transfer is safe.

  3. From the right flipper, shoot the far-left white lane for 30,000.

  4. Read the upper return and collect missing Joker lanes without forcing a Move the cabinet briefly so the playfield shifts under the ball, changing its speed or path after contact with a post, rubber, or wall..

  5. Repeat the far-left lane while its lower-rubber return remains controlled.

  6. Take a nearly completed drop-target set only when the rebound has shown a safe path.

  7. After the drop bank is down, ignore the center 3,000 pad.

  8. Return every controlled right-flipper ball to the 30,000 left lane.

Alternative route: Recovery: Safe upper drops

Recovery pivot: Use this plan when the far-left lane is not makeable or its return is dangerous.

  1. Stop the orbit repeat after a return reaches a slingshot, outlane, or center.
  2. Choose an upper card drop that completes or materially advances a card set.
  3. Shoot from the flipper that gives the target a glancing angle.
  4. Regain control before taking another target.
  5. Return to the left orbit if its feed becomes reliable again.
Need to know
Far-left white lane
The left half-orbit scores 30,000 and is the game's safest repeatable scoring route.
Right flipper
The right flipper has the preferred angle for the far-left lane and is the go-to flipper.
Nine-card bank
The drop targets build the card-hand bonus, but their rebounds are less predictable than the orbit route.
