Space Jam pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

Three Jump Shot locks start Space Jam's Multiball, which moves through ramp, orbit, Jump Shot, and captive-ball waves. Follow the currently lit wave, collect Super at the captive ball, and attempt the timed right-ramp-to-captive-ball Super Duper only from a controlled feed.

The goal

Collect three locks at the Jump Shot, complete the multiball's ramp, orbit, and Jump Shot waves, then collect the captive-ball Super and timed Super Duper.

  1. Test the Jump Shot eject, both ramps, both orbits, and captive-ball rebound before qualifying locks.

  2. Shoot the Jump Shot to light and collect three locks; later multiballs require additional qualification shots.

  3. At multiball start, collect the easier lit ramp from control, then take any remaining ramp required by the current wave.

  4. Follow the displayed wave instead of repeating an unlit shot.

    • lit ramp jackpot or jackpots.: lit ramp jackpot or jackpots.
    • left orbit, right orbit, and Jump Shot.: left orbit, right orbit, and Jump Shot.
    • captive-ball Super Jackpot.: captive-ball Super Jackpot.
    • right ramp to light the timed captive-ball Super Duper.: right ramp to light the timed captive-ball Super Duper.
  5. After the Super, shoot the right ramp only when the following captive-ball hit is available inside its timer.

  6. Between multiballs, finish the safest missing planet requirements while keeping the lock lane as the default route.

  7. When all seven planets are lit, shoot the left ramp to start Final Jam and repeat controlled basket feeds.

Alternative route: Fast Break ramp scoring

Use this when the Jump Shot rejects but both orbit feeds and the right ramp are controlled.

  1. Complete the required left- and right-orbit shots.
  2. Start Fast Break.
  3. Repeat the right ramp while its increasing value and return remain safe.
Need to know
Locks
The Jump Shot lights and collects locks; three locks start the main multiball.

Super Duper
After the Super, the right ramp briefly lights the captive ball for the larger award.
