Space Walk pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

In Count-Down, completing the four colored drop banks raises Bonus X, and target hits raise base bonus. The top saucer collects their product, resets only the base, and leaves the multiplier ready for another collect.

The goal

Complete the green, yellow, red, and blue drop-target banks for 5x Bonus, build base bonus to 20,000 with the remaining targets and upper play, then collect it at the lit top saucer.

  1. Reach the highest Bonus X

Knock down the green bank to light 2x Bonus, then yellow for 3x, red for 4x, and blue for 5x.

  2. Use the upper flippers

Use the upper mini-flippers for the green and yellow targets when their sideways angle is safer. A completed bank stays down for the rest of the ball.

  3. Build base bonus

After reaching the highest available multiplier, use the remaining targets and upper play to build base bonus to 20,000.

  4. Collect at the saucer

Use an upper mini-flipper to shoot the lit top saucer and collect base bonus multiplied by the active Bonus X.

Need to know
Persistent drop banks
A completed color bank stays down for the rest of the ball, so its remaining targets cannot be farmed again until the next ball.
Base bonus
Drop targets build it. At 20,000, the top saucer lights to collect the current base bonus times the active multiplier.
Collect Bonus saucer
A collect resets base bonus but leaves Bonus X intact. Prefer the collect at 4x or 5x.

Machine setup

  • Check whether the center post is present, then test each colored-bank rebound and both upper mini-flippers.
