Strato-Flite / Astro-Flite / Super-Flite pinball rules and strategy

In Strato-Flite, plunge the top saucer when it shows open lower gate or 5,000. Then use bank shots around the A and D standups to send the ball back up. Collect every copy of one letter to light Double Bonus, then complete a second letter group to light Triple Bonus.

The goal

Favor repeatable top shots while completing two letter groups. The first completed group lights one star and Double Bonus; the second lights a second star and Triple Bonus. If the lower gate is open, accept its 5,000 and free return to the shooter lane.

  1. Time the plunge for the top saucer when its small slings have selected open lower gate or 5,000.

  2. Shoot bank shots around the A and D standup areas to send the ball back to the upper playfield.

  3. Finish every copy of one letter to light the first star and Double Bonus.

  4. Complete a second letter group to light the second star and Triple Bonus.

  5. Take the open lower gate whenever the ball is already heading there; it scores 5,000 and gives another plunge.

Machine setup

  • Confirm Extra Ball and Special conversion, tilt penalty, and the exact saucer award cycle before the first meaningful plunge.
  • Test the top saucer and both award-cycling slings, upper and lower gates, every A-B-C-D switch, both star lamps, Bonus unit, lower-gate return, and the center standup rebound.
