Striker pinball rules and strategy

Strategy summary

The goal

Advance the white offense lights toward the top lanes to score goals. Green cabinet buttons pass the offense across the field, drop targets qualify Free Kick and increase the goal bonus, and goals add time to Shootout.

  1. Goals: Hit lit standup targets or spin the lit spinner to advance the white offense lights toward the top lanes. Once a top lane lights, roll through it to score a goal. The right flipper button moves the top-lane lights.

  2. Passing: Press the left green cabinet button to move the offense from left to right, or the right green button to move it from right to left. A pass light must be lit. Each ball starts with three passes; the right hole adds another.

  3. Free Kick: Complete either upper five-target drop bank to light the right hole. Shoot the lit hole to capture the ball and release another to the shooter lane. When that replacement ball drains, the captured ball returns to play.

  4. Goal bonus: Complete the center four-target drop bank to advance the goal multiplier. Goals and the multiplier determine the bonus collected after each ball. Once the multiplier reaches its highest position, further center-bank completions score 10,000 points.

  5. Shootout: After the last regular ball, a timed ball is released to the shooter lane: five seconds plus five per goal scored during the game. In Extra Ball mode, extra balls cannot be won during Shootout.

Need to know
Offense and defense
Three lit target hits advance the white offense lights one position. Completing an upper drop bank also advances the offense on that side. Three unlit target or yellow pop-bumper hits advance the yellow defense. When offense and defense meet, the advancing side pushes the other back.
Free Kick passing
During Free Kick, all pass lights stay lit for unlimited passing. Free Kick provides a replacement ball while the original remains captured; the captured ball returns after the replacement drains.
Special
Score four goals on one ball in a three-ball game, or five in a five-ball game, to light Special at the center rollover between the upper flippers. Roll through it while lit to collect. The Special award depends on the machine's settings.
