Superman pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

Superman uses lanes 1-2-3-4 for 3x Bonus and slingshot hits to move a 1,000-per-spin lamp between two spinners. Complete the lanes, repeat the left spinner when it is lit, and shoot SUPERMAN standups only when the remaining letters have safe returns.

The goal

Repeat the left spinner from the right flipper, complete lanes 1-2-3-4 for 3x Bonus, then shoot center drops only when their return is safe or few SUPERMAN letters remain.

  1. Plunge for top lane 4. Then check which spinner the first slingshot hit lights.

  2. Move the ball to the right flipper. Shoot the left spinner even when the other spinner is lit.

  3. Use the top feed to complete lanes 1-2-3 for 2x Bonus. Add lane 4 for 3x Bonus.

  4. Repeat the left spinner while its return remains controlled. Use lit-spinner periods for the best value.

  5. Shoot a lit center drop only if its rebound avoids the right outlane. Stop after an unsafe return.

  6. Complete SUPERMAN only when one or two standups remain and their shots are controlled.

Alternative route: Top lanes and bonus

Use this when spinner returns are fast or the right flipper cannot make the left spinner.

  1. Send the ball to the top through the safer available lane.
  2. Complete lanes 1-2-3 for 2x Bonus.
  3. Add lane 4 for 3x Bonus.
  4. Use lanes, rollovers, and incidental drops to build base bonus toward 29,000.
Need to know
Lit spinners
A slingshot hit lights one spinner for 1,000 per spin, and later slingshot hits change the lit spinner.
Left spinner
The left spinner is the preferred repeatable shot because its top lane also adds 5,000 points.
Bonus X
Complete top lanes 1-2-3 for 2x Bonus, then add lane 4 for 3x Bonus.
