Twister pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

In Twister, lit Wind orbits advance Cow Multibull, repeated ramp shots start Chase, and the lock target and hole qualify Cannister. Choose the route with the safest current feed, then repeat its orbit or ramp Jackpots instead of mixing qualifications from uncontrolled returns.

The goal

Repeat lit Wind orbits toward Cow Multibull, use the five-ball orbit jackpots for the safest ceiling, and take Chase or Cannister Multiball when their ramp or lock routes are already close.

  1. Test both orbit magnets, the ramp return, lock-hole eject, spinning-disk release, and compass targets.

  2. Shoot the currently lit Wind orbit; successive controlled orbits can add extra progress toward Cow Multibull.

  3. Start Cow Multibull and alternate the two orbit jackpots from the safest receiving flipper.

  4. When an orbit magnet captures or rejects unpredictably, repeat the ramp until Chase Multiball starts.

  5. If the Twister targets award Double Scoring, start whichever prepared multiball has the safer feed and use its repeatable jackpot shots while 2x is active.

  6. During Chase, score switches until the ramp Jackpot is lit, then collect it for value and add-a-ball.

  7. If Cannister locks are already near completion, finish them and repeat the ramp for single, double, and triple Jackpots.

  8. After any three Cannister Jackpots, shoot the lock hole for the Super before its timer expires.

Alternative route: Recovery: Chase Multiball ramp route

Recovery pivot: Use this when orbit magnets or feeds are inconsistent but the ramp is repeatable.

  1. Repeat the ramp until Chase starts.
  2. Hit switches until the ramp Jackpot lights.
  3. Collect the lit ramp Jackpot and add-a-ball, then repeat through the F-levels.
Need to know
Cow Multibull
Lit Wind orbits advance the five-ball mode; both orbits then score growing jackpots.
Chase Multiball
Repeated ramp shots start five-ball play; switches light an add-a-ball Jackpot at the ramp.
Cannister Multiball
Drop the lock target and lock the required balls; ramp Jackpots lead to a lock-hole Super.

Machine setup

  • Confirm ROM, lock counts, Jackpot timers, and ball saves.
  • Test Wind orbits, magnets, cannister locks, and ramp returns.
