Vector pinball rules and strategy

Clear the left Defender drops from left to right, shoot the opened left ramp to lock a ball, then complete H-Y-P-E from left to right to start Multiball. Lock two balls before H-Y-P-E for three-ball play, or take a third lock to start four-ball Multiball immediately.

The goal

Clear the Defender bank in order, then shoot the left ramp to lock a ball. Complete H-Y-P-E in order with one ball locked for two-ball Multiball, or with two locked for three-ball Multiball. A third lock starts four-ball Multiball immediately.

  1. Clear the rear Defender row from left to right. If the front row rises, clear it too before trying to lock. Some settings require both rows even after an ordered rear-row completion.

  2. Shoot the opened left ramp to lock one ball, then repeat the Defender route if you want a second lock.

  3. Complete H-Y-P-E from left to right: one lock starts two-ball Multiball, while two locks start three-ball Multiball.

  4. During Multiball, complete H-Y-P-E in order again to score the built HYPE bonus at its active multiplier.

Machine setup

  • Confirm ball count, lock memory, Extra Ball and Special conversions, and whether locked balls are physically present.
  • Test both Defender rows, left ramp and lock releases, all H-Y-P-E targets, X-Y-Z drops and return lanes, and all four balls.
