WHO dunnit pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

In WHO dunnit, Super Skill Shots or the Basement elevator floor award three locks for Basement Multiball, and pop-bumper hits raise its Jackpot. Between Multiballs, collect clues, use the Phone, identify the killer, and finish the Taxi Chase and Phone sequence for each detective case.

The goal

Use Super Skill Shots and the Basement elevator floor to start Basement Multiball, repeat its Jackpot route, then solve cases through clues, phone calls, and Catch the Killer.

  1. On each plunge, attempt the Super Skill Shot into the Lock Entry when its feed is controllable; also read the pop bumpers and Mystery Target returns.

  2. Use the Elevator to reach useful floors, prioritizing Basement Multiball, clues, evidence, equipment, and the Penthouse route.

  3. After three locks or a Basement visit, start multiball and use bumper feeds to build the Jackpot.

  4. Collect the lit Jackpot from the displayed shot, then repeat the build-and-collect cycle while ball count permits.

  5. Between multiballs, spell T-A-X-I or run Taxi Chase for clues; answer the lit Phone to interrogate or identify the killer.

  6. After the correct suspect or Roof access, complete the lit Taxi Chase and Phone sequence to catch the killer.

  7. Use the resulting four-ball mode to repeat lit shots at the captured hurry-up value.

Alternative route: Penthouse Party elevator loop

Use this when the Penthouse Key is ready and the Elevator feed is safer than the Lock Entry.

  1. Collect the Penthouse Key.
  2. Reach the Penthouse floor.
  3. Repeat controlled Elevator shots until the mode timer ends.
