Zig Zag / Wing Ding pinball rules and strategy
The Strategy
In Zig Zag or Wing Ding, shoot up the wider side paths and nudge toward any lit rack-ball lane or saucer. Rack all nine backbox balls. On Zig Zag, the full rack lights the center hole for Special; on Wing Ding, the full rack or completing A-B-C-D adds a ball when enabled.
The goal
The wider outside routes are easier and avoid the center saucer's direct rubber rebounds. Build the backbox rack through lit lanes and holes, then use the variant's completed-rack award only when Special or Extra Ball is active.
Plunge for the top-center rack-ball lane when it is lit.
From either flipper, shoot the ball up the matching side instead of forcing the narrow center saucer.
Move the cabinet briefly so the playfield shifts under the ball, changing its speed or path after contact with a post, rubber, or wall. bumper and saucer exits toward a lit rack-ball hole or outside bottom lane.
Complete missing A-B-C-D rollovers when the resulting Special or Extra Ball is enabled.
After the ninth ball is racked, collect the Zig Zag center-hole award or continue the Wing Ding additional ball.
Need to know
