Cradle
Hold a raised flipper so a slow ball settles against it, giving you time to plan your next move.
Also called: Trap, Flipper trap, Cradling
How it works
- Let the ball arrive with low enough speed to stay on the raised flipper.
- Keep the button held and allow the ball to settle near the base.
- Release into a pass or timed shot when you are ready.
- Use it when
- The ball is moving slowly enough to stop safely on a raised flipper.
- Watch for
- Fast or steep feeds can roll over the flipper or bounce into the center.
- Practice
- Pause after every safe feed instead of immediately flipping the ball away.
