Ski pass
Let a rolling inlane ball travel over a held flipper and cross to the opposite side instead of shooting it away.
Also called: Ski jump, Flipper ski pass
How it works
- Raise the flipper under the rolling ball.
- Let the ball travel along and over the flipper tip.
- Receive it on the opposite flipper; a small upward nudge can help a marginal pass.
- Use it when
- An inlane feed is rolling quickly enough to cross the center safely.
- Watch for
- A slow pass can fall between the flippers, especially if the receiving flipper is already raised.
- Practice
- Learn which inlane speeds cross naturally before adding a nudge.
