Flying Carpet pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

Flying Carpet carries A and P between balls and lights its blue bumpers for 100 after both letters are collected. Finish A-P, send the ball through the upper gaps beside R and Y, and use gentle nudges to preserve the safer cross-playfield returns.

The goal

Collect A and P to light the blue bumpers for 100. Then shoot through the upper gaps beside the R and Y lanes. Use gentle nudges to protect every side-lane feed.

  1. Plunge for A or P. Record which of the two letters is still missing.

  2. If a letter is missing, shoot only its matching mid-playfield standup from a controlled ball.

  3. After A and P are complete, shoot through the gap between a blue bumper and the upper lane.

  4. Aim slightly toward the outer lane face. Avoid the inside bumper edge and nearby posts.

  5. Guide each R or Y side-lane feed toward the opposite flipper. Use a gentle Move the cabinet briefly so the playfield shifts under the ball, changing its speed or path after contact with a post, rubber, or wall. before the lower letter lanes.

  6. Control the ball, then repeat the upper route while its feed remains predictable.

Alternative route: Missing-letter recovery

Use this plan when the plunge does not collect both A and P.

  1. Identify the missing A or P letter.
  2. Hold a raised flipper so a slow ball settles against it, giving you time to plan your next move. the ball before you shoot the matching side standup.
  3. Make one controlled standup shot. Prepare for a fast rebound.
  4. After both letters are complete, stop shooting standups and return to the upper route.
