Grand Champion pinball rules and strategy
Strategy summary
The goal
Hold a raised flipper so a slow ball settles against it, giving you time to plan your next move. balls in the prize holes to light side-channel Specials and release the Grand Champion ball. Matching the selected numbered hole awards replays according to the prize holes already filled.
Fill the prize holes: Shoot the holes marked 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Grand Champion below the five numbered holes. Making all four lights the side channels for Special and returns the ball trapped in the Grand Champion hole.
Collect side-channel replays: Send the ball through any of the six side channels while its Special lamp is lit to score one replay. There are three of these channels along each side of the playfield.
Match the selection: Shoot the numbered hole matching the lit 1–5 Selection lamp above the top hole. A match awards one replay with 1st filled, two with 1st and 2nd filled, or five with 1st, 2nd and 3rd filled.
Complete the numbered holes: Hold a raised flipper so a slow ball settles against it, giving you time to plan your next move. a ball in each of holes 1 through 5 to score one replay. These five holes form two rows above the prize holes.
Build the Points total: The two narrow inner side channels beside holes 1–5 score one point, or five when lit. Making the 1st hole lights their five-point awards; the backbox tracks Points separately.

- The GC-1 setting awards one replay at 16 Points, two at 20 and three at 25; check the fitted card.
- Tilt penalty
- A tilt voids the game’s score.
