The Strategy

Kick Off / Quarterback advances a ball downfield through the left spinner, right drop targets, and upper-right route. Plunge a lit top lane, repeat the safest progress shot until the field is complete, collect the 5,000-point goal, and preserve the bonus earned for every 20 yards.

The goal

Plunge a lit top lane, advance the ball through the safest field-progress shot, collect the 5,000-point goal, and protect the built bonus with controlled upper play.

  1. Plunge one of the two lit Shows Alternating top lanes on the Kick Off / Quarterback playfield. The four rollover lanes at the top; either the first and third or second and fourth pair is lit..

  2. Watch the first upper-playfield exit and learn which flipper receives the ball.

  3. Test the Shows Left field-progress spinner on the Kick Off / Quarterback playfield. The left-side spinner advances the ball downfield and is the main repeat shot when its return is safe. when its entry and return are controlled.

  4. Use the spinner as the main field-progress shot while it continues to return safely.

  5. Use the Shows Upper-right field route on the Kick Off / Quarterback playfield. The open upper-right path returns the ball toward the top lanes and adds field progress. when the spinner entry is poor.

  6. Shoot the Shows Right field-progress drop bank on the Kick Off / Quarterback playfield. The right-side drop targets advance field position but can rebound sharply. only after you have seen a safe rebound from it.

  7. Complete the field and collect the 5,000-point goal.

  8. Repeat the safest progress route and protect the built bonus until the ball ends.

Alternative route: Recovery: Upper-right field progress

Recovery pivot: Use this plan when the spinner rejects shots or the Shows Right field-progress drop bank on the Kick Off / Quarterback playfield. The right-side drop targets advance field position but can rebound sharply. returns the ball out of control.

  1. Stop shooting the unsafe spinner or drop bank.
  2. Send the ball toward the upper-right field-progress route.
  3. Hold the receiving upper flipper only when that improves the rebound from its rubbered post.
  4. Let upper-playfield action add field and bonus progress.
  5. Resume the spinner only after its feed becomes reliable.

Lit-lane plunge
The two lit Shows Alternating top lanes on the Kick Off / Quarterback playfield. The four rollover lanes at the top; either the first and third or second and fourth pair is lit. alternate as switch hits register, so aim for one lit lane on every plunge.

Machine setup

  • Confirm Kick Off or Quarterback and read the ball-count and automatic Double Bonus schedule on the instruction card.
  • Check whether replay, Extra Ball, and Special awards remain enabled or score points in tournament play.
  • Test spinner strength, drop-bank rebounds, bumper exits, staggered-flipper feeds, tilt sensitivity, and switch registration before choosing a repeat shot.
