Pirates of the Caribbean pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

Pirates of the Caribbean fills eight compass tasks to light Four Winds Multiball. For an immediate route, sink the ship to start two-ball Battle the Kraken, keep shooting the ship lane until the Kraken is defeated, then return there once more for Victory Jig. Work K-E-Y and H-E-A-R-T at Dead Man's Chest as a separate route to Heart Multiball.

The goal

Keep hitting the pirate ship to lower its sails and sink it. Sinking the ship starts two-ball Battle the Kraken; keep shooting the ship lane to defeat the Kraken.

  1. Sink the ship

Shoot the pirate ship twice to lower its sails, then shoot it twice more to sink the first ship.

  2. Play Battle the Kraken

Sinking the ship starts two-ball Battle the Kraken. Keep shooting the ship lane to reduce the Kraken's life bar to zero.

  3. Collect Victory Jig

After defeating the Kraken, shoot the ship lane again before the hurry-up expires to start Victory Jig.

Alternative route: Dead Man's Chest

Use this when the chest and upper-playfield lanes are safer than repeated ship hits.

  1. Shoot beneath the chest or use the upper-playfield lanes to spell KEY. Shoot the chest to open it, then keep returning to the chest to spell HEART and start Heart Multiball.
