Robo-War pinball rules and strategy
The Strategy
In ROBO-WAR, the right inlane lights the timed spinner at 10,000 per spin. The left ramp locks a ball, Stargate starts Multiball, and drop-target hits add to Multi-Bonus before the ramp and hole collect it.
The goal
Roll through the right inlane to light the spinner, Hold a raised flipper so a slow ball settles against it, giving you time to plan your next move. on the left flipper, and Shoot a target on the same side as the active flipper, often from near the flipper base and behind the nearby slingshot. the flashing spinner for 10,000 per spin. Relight it at the right inlane and repeat.
Light the spinner
Roll through the right inlane to make the spinner flash for a timed period.
Backhand the flashing spinner
Hold a raised flipper so a slow ball settles against it, giving you time to plan your next move. on the left flipper, then Shoot a target on the same side as the active flipper, often from near the flipper base and behind the nearby slingshot. the flashing spinner for 10,000 per spin.
Relight and repeat
When the spinner stops flashing, roll through the right inlane to relight it, regain control, and repeat the Shoot a target on the same side as the active flipper, often from near the flipper base and behind the nearby slingshot..
Alternative route: Multi-Bonus
Use this when the left ramp and Stargate target are safer than the spinner Shoot a target on the same side as the active flipper, often from near the flipper base and behind the nearby slingshot..
- Shoot the left ramp into the hole to lock one ball, then hit the Stargate target under the raised ramp to start two-ball Multiball.
- During Multiball, hit drop targets to add points to Multi-Bonus, then shoot the left ramp into the hole to collect it. Repeat while Multiball lasts.
Need to know
- ADV X multiplier
- Hitting a playfield target while its ADV X lamp is lit advances the multiplier.
- Ball-count values
- Both three-ball and five-ball settings score 5,000 times the multiplier for each drop-target hit during Multiball.
- Left ramp and lock hole
- Shoot the left ramp into the hole to lock a ball in single-ball play. During Multiball, the same ramp-into-hole shot collects Multi-Bonus.
ROBO-WAR lights the spinner for a timed 10,000 per spin and stores drop-target values in Multi-Bonus during Multiball. Repeat the spinner when its return is controlled. Otherwise, raise the multiplier, lock at the left ramp, start Multiball at Stargate, add drop-target values to Multi-Bonus, and collect it through the ramp and hole.

Top-player proof
- Colin Urban used the spinner route for an approximately eight-million game earlier at INDISC 2018.
- Robert Gagno and Zach Sharpe also chose the timed spinner during the INDISC 2018 finals.
- Jim Belsito repeatedly collected million-point Multi-Bonuses on the same tournament machine.
- At the 2023 North American Pinball Championship, players used the lit spinner to build several-hundred-thousand-point buffers on the difficult setup.
Builds toward: ROBOWAR Special
